Born in Quebec, Laurent de Blois studied administration at the University of Sherbrooke, specializing in information and systems management. He then worked for Canada's Department of External Affairs for eight years, during which time he was posted to Ottawa, Winnipeg, Algiers, and Havana. Called upon to work and write in both official languages, he discovered a passion for words, for written communication in English and French, and for translation. This passion led him to start his own translation business, first in the field of business, then in other areas, such as medicine, commercial law, industrial engineering, urban planning, information technology, human resources, sexual violence, and municipal administration. Mr. de Blois now has over 30 years of experience in translation and has been certified by CTINB since 2021.
