Valérie Tristant2nd Vice-President
Originally from France, I came to New Brunswick in 2008, having heard of the much-touted Maritime hospitality and the amazing quality of life in the province.
My career has traced an unusual path: having obtained a B.A. in Chinese and a Masters in International Trade in 1994, I left Europe for Asia, where I worked in import/export for several years. I then moved to London, England, where I met my soul mate. In 2002, following the birth of our daughter, I decided to switch careers and became a translator, something I had wanted to do since leaving university.
After working more than a decade as a freelancer as well as for translation firms, I am now a revisor at the New Brunswick Translation Bureau. I was appointed Secretary of the CTINB in 2012 and 2nd Vice-President in 2014.
