Originally from Sainte-Claire de Bellechasse, Quebec, Agathe came to New Brunswick in 1973. After working as a nurse for a few years, and taking secretarial courses, she then provided cassette transcription, translation coordination, and proofreading services out of her home while her children were growing up.
In 1990, at the Board’s request, she agreed to perform various duties for the Corporation, including accounting, picking up mail at the post office, administering the membership database, sending correspondence, and retrieving telephone messages. With the arrival of the Internet came a new duty, communication via email, which allowed information to be shared rapidly. She has been providing administrative support to CTINB for over 20 years.
